Oil & Gas Skills OGS recognize that the protection of the health and safety of its employees and others involved in its activities. The protection of the overall environment, are not compromised and a prime responsibility of all workforce at every level. Within Egypt and in any other country where activities related to the venture are carried out, the Company is committed to achieve World Class HSE performance in accordance with good human development practices.

Specifically, OGS and its business units will:

• Comply with relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, improving on the performance standards they specify where it is reasonably practicable and co-operate fully with the enforcement agencies and non-statutory bodies of Egypt.
• Develop and maintain effective contingency plans, where appropriate in conjunction with authorities and emergency services.
• Assess the environmental, industrial hygiene, health and safety impacts of its activities and manage the associated risks.
• Provide direction, training and supervision where appropriate to enable its employees to meet their obligation to work safely and with consideration for the health and safety of others and for the natural environment.
• Aim to make continuous improvements in its safety and environmental management so that accidents are reduced, protect environment and regularly continually reviewed.
• Require our contractors and sub-contractors to demonstrate the same level of commitment to continuous improvement in standards of care for health, safety and the environment as OGS itself applies.
• Foster an understanding of health, safety and environmental issues relating to its business amongst staff, suppliers, contractors and communities local to its operations; and seek to understand and take account of their concerns.
• Establishing a framework for regular review of HSE objectives and targets.
• Ensure compliance with the policy through a process of education, review and audit.

OGS intends to accomplish these objectives through Communications:

Define organization with a clear system of communication. Emphasis will be placed on adherence to procedure at all organizational levels and on an efficient system of communication in order to ensure the involvement of everyone affected by our activities.

Use of safe systems of work.

It is vital that all employees at OGS are charged with the responsibility of working safely and protecting themselves, their colleagues, others and the environment. No work shall be carried without the risks associated with that work being identified, without the precautions required to minimize those risks being specified, communicated to the workforce and implemented. Contractors will be made aware of this policy and the need to work to similar standards. A safety culture will be promoted to increase the level of awareness and to encourage the prevention of accidents and damage to the environment.
 

Competent and well-trained staff

All staff will be given job specific training to cover both normal working conditions and emergencies.

It is acknowledged that incidents may arise; therefore emergency preparation along with well trained staff must be implemented to minimize risk to staff and those around them by our operations, including the environment and property.
