Attractive Investment Opportunities for the U.S. Companies in the Petroleum Sector
On discussing investment opportunities in Egypt over the coming period within the oil, gas & petrochemicals domains, Eng Abdullah Ghorab, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, met with Mr. Steven Farris Chairman & Chief Executive Officer , President of the American Chamber of Commerce and the accompanying delegation of the Chamber and a number of U.S. business leaderships .
The Minister of Petroleum mentioned that this meeting is considered a positive message that Egypt was, still is and shall remain a stable country , maintaining strong ties with the major U.S. companies, as Egypt is a significant place for the American companies to invest in backed by its distinctive experience which extends for many years, achieving remarkable successes in the various fields . Mr. Steven Farris pointed out that the US delegation stressed on the various bilateral agreements, multilateral and financial facilities from U.S. banks to contribute in supporting investments during the coming period, giving positive signals to the markets that Egypt is a promising country for investments after the revolution of January 25. During the meeting, the Petroleum Sector officials announced that a new bid rounds for oil and gas exploration acreages will be announced soon, in addition to the promising fields in the Egyptian petrochemical industry, which represents one of the most significant industries to maximize the value added.
