Course Name: |
Advanced Process Control, Loops, Analysis and Troubleshooting |
|
 |
Course Objective: |
This course covers the theory and application of advanced control strategies including adaptive, cascade, feed forward, ratio, selective, multivariable and statistical process controls (SPC). The second half of this course covers the control strategies employed in a number of common control applications including compressors, boilers, distillation columns, chemical reactors and other systems related to the oil and gas industry.
Laboratory exercises involve programming and/or configuring single-loop digital controllers and distributed control systems (DCS) to implement and test the control strategies on typical industrial processes.
This philosophy will help the participant develop a high level of practical skills useful in industry.
