Mechanical Shaft to Shaft Alignment
Course Objective:
• The course will start with the basic concepts of shaft alignment, why shaft alignment is important and the proper handling of tools required to perform the alignment • This course will provide the participant with the ability to perform precision shaft to shaft alignments • Rim & face plus cross dial alignment techniques using precision dial indicators will be taught • Advanced shaft alignment concepts will be presented including thermal growth and laser alignment techniques
Who Should Attend:
• This course will be of benefit to engineers who are employed in the mechanical trades where alignment of rotating shafts is part of their job description • Participants with no alignment experience will be brought from basic concepts through to final shaft alignments within accepted industry standards • The course will be of interest to supervisory engineers who are involved in planning or assigning alignment tasks, to help them understand the possible problems encountered during the alignment procedure
