Training Strategy



The goal of the three steps is to have in place a working, institutionalized system for assuring competence and performance in the operational system, the Competence Profiles set the targets for individual competence and performance, and the Competence Standards and Assurance System will provide the nuts and bolts of implementing those targets.

 

Development of the Training Strategy is vital to shape organizations own training standard that will ensure the final system accurately reflects organizational priorities and provide a framework for later implementation, and allow management to approve the strategy & its standards prior to beginning the implementation.

 

OGS approach to this task will be to identify overall organizational training strategy and goals and determine how this is best expressed and supported in organizational terms, in both career development and recruitments. OGS will then use this guidance to develop a system for approaching the implementation of the Competence Standards and Assurance System.

 

OGS will also develop a strategy for pre-production training, with emphasis on critical skills needed as prerequisites to participation in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
